As a new organization, we are just getting started.
Town of Danby Beautification
We are always looking for ways to make our town more beautiful. This summer, we re-painted the ‘Town of Danby Welcome’ signs at either end of the hamlet neighborhood and have gotten really positive feedback about it. What should we work on next?
Danby Skate Park and Playground Support
We are excited to help turn 15 Bald Hill Rd (the former highway department site) into a new park featuring a skate park, playground and picnic/grill area along Buttermilk Creek.
A dedicated group of volunteers has already worked to take down the delapidated barn. In this picture, volunteers are sorting re-usable wood from scrap, while the volunteer Danby Fire Dept oversees a brush and scrap burn to clear spate on the site. As a bonus, the DFD trainees got practice time on the nozzle putting out the fire.
Community Hub at Danby Food & Drink
We are proud to support the construction of a free arts and music stage outside at Danby Food & Drink. Stay tuned for more information on this effort.
